Patricia Davies is an award-winning writer who has provided training, writing, editing and consulting services to major corporations, nonprofit agencies and government ministries for the past 20 years. She established her business following a distinguished career in journalism as an editor at The Globe and Mail and as a senior features writer for such Canadian magazines as Report on Business Magazine, Canadian Business, Chatelaine and Canadian Living.
Her goal is clear, concise and interesting writing, whether she is teaching a classroom of professionals why convoluted, complex language doesn’t impress their clients, preparing a Board of Directors presentation for a senior executive, or writing a newsletter article for a national charity.
In her Real Words Workshops, Patricia passes on her years of experience to help participants learn the best practices of good writing so they never hear these words again: “I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at here” or “I didn’t have time to read your whole report”.
Patricia won a Gold National Magazine Award for a feature article in Report on Business Magazine and was nominated for an Accenture business writing award. She is an Endorsed Education Provider with the International Institute of Business Analysis, and past Director of Programming for the International Association of Business Communicators/Toronto, Professional Independent Communicators section.
